Dennis Flesner recently celebrated his 40th anniversary with Woods Bros Realty.
According to Flesner, he was the sixth agent at Woods Bros Realty in 1969. He had been working since May 7, 1967 as a maintance person while going to college. Around that time, Bill Swanson, who served as a state Senator and a director of the Real Estate Commission, started the brokerage side of Woods Companies.
Flesner said he took Swanson’s real estate class, which then included an all-day, hand-written test, with 4-6 essay questions. The rest was history.
“I figured once I got out of school, I’d find a job,” Flesner said. “I haven’t found one yet.”
Flesner worked at the Country Club Plaza office until moving to the Pioneers office in 1978, where he had to be voted in. In 1998, that office moved to its current location near SouthPointe mall, where Flesner still works today.
